Washington Cardroom and Lottery Self-Exclusion

Washington has separate statewide exclusions for house-banked cardrooms and Lottery activities. The Gambling Commission program covers all licensed house-banked cardrooms. Tribal casinos are not currently participating, so casino and sports wagering restrictions at tribal properties must be requested from each tribe. Washington's Lottery operates its own program with different terms and enforcement limits.

How to Use Washington's Separate Programs

Apply to the cardroom program, the Lottery program, or both, then contact each tribal casino you need to restrict.

  1. Choose the Gambling Commission cardroom program, the separate Washington Lottery program, or both
  2. For cardrooms, complete the current WSGC enrollment form and choose one year, three years, five years, or ten years
  3. Submit the cardroom form at a licensed house-banked cardroom, at an appointment at the Commission's Lacey office, or by mail with a notarized or certified-counselor signature, a passport-style photo, and a copy of photo identification
  4. For Lottery exclusion, complete the Lottery application and submit it in person with identification or mail the notarized form with a copy of identification
  5. Keep confirmation for both programs and review their different end-of-term rules
  6. Contact each tribal casino separately for casino and on-premises sports wagering restrictions because no tribal casino currently participates in the WSGC statewide program

Removal, Expiry, and Account Reopening

The cardroom term cannot be ended early. After the selected term expires, you remain on the WSGC list until the Commission receives and processes its notarized removal form or an in-person removal request. The Lottery term also cannot be ended early and expires after the selected period; submit a new application before expiry if you want to extend it.

Important Notes

Washington sports wagering is authorized only at tribal casinos with amended compacts, and those casinos are not currently part of the WSGC statewide self-exclusion program. Contact each tribal gaming operation about its own exclusion. The Lottery program cannot stop every retail ticket purchase; it blocks specified prize claims, second-chance prizes, and loyalty-account activity during the term.
