Ending or Removing Self-Exclusion
A one-year, three-year, or five-year exclusion ends automatically on the last day of the month of the original request. A lifetime exclusion may be reviewed only after five years. The written petition must include a detailed explanation, a history of any violations, and verification of a reinstatement session with a Board-approved problem gambling services agency. Removal requires Board action.
Important Notes
The request is category-specific, so mark every activity you need covered. The current Gambling Control Unit link to ADEPT gives direct virtual instructions for casino and sports wagering enrollment. Contact the Unit at 207-626-3900 to confirm the current application path for advance deposit wagering or fantasy contests. The current universal-list rule does not name Maine Lottery, charitable gaming, unlicensed sites, gambling outside Maine, or internet gaming under Chapter 39.
