Utah Gambling Self-Exclusion: Operator Options

Utah Code Title 76, Chapter 9, Part 14 prohibits gambling, fringe gambling, and online gambling, so the state does not operate a casino, sportsbook, lottery, or statewide self-exclusion list. People who already hold gambling accounts or visit casinos outside Utah can still use operator-wide exclusions. DraftKings applies self-exclusion across its products and locations. Caesars offers a universal exclusion across its owned, operated, or managed properties and online gaming offerings.

How to Self-Exclude Without a Utah State List

Use every operator that applies to you. These private programs do not create a Utah statewide exclusion.

    List every gambling account and casino group you have used outside Utah; one operator's exclusion does not automatically cover a different company

    For DraftKings, sign in, open Responsible Gaming, choose Breaks and then Self-Exclusion, select an available term, and complete the jurisdiction-specific confirmation

    For Caesars, call 800-694-9960 and request the responsible-gaming exclusion; choose one year, five years, or permanent only after reviewing the property-wide effect

  4. 4

    Request self-exclusion directly from every other operator you use and save written confirmation of the products, properties, locations, term, and reinstatement rule

  5. 5

    Remove saved payment methods, ask your bank about gambling-transaction controls, and block gambling sites and apps on every device because operator exclusions do not cover unrelated companies

  6. 6

    Use Healthy Minds Utah's confidential screening or the Utah Division of Integrated Healthcare for local support, and call or text 988 for an immediate mental-health or safety crisis

Removal, Expiry, and Account Reopening

DraftKings says an active self-exclusion cannot be shortened and account access returns after the selected term. Caesars says the selected one-year, five-year, or permanent exclusion is irrevocable during that period. Utah has no state reinstatement process because these are private operator programs.

Important Notes

These routes do not authorize gambling in Utah and are not a Utah government list. They are useful for existing accounts and travel outside Utah. DraftKings covers its own products only. Caesars applies a broader company-wide exclusion, including non-gaming areas at covered casino properties, so review that consequence before enrolling.
